Dr. Ariful Haque is a highly qualified and experienced orthopedic surgeon with a strong academic background. He has received his MBBS degree from North China University of Science and Technology, and then he completed his Master's degree in Orthopedic Surgery from Kunming Medical University, both located in China. He has also completed a Master of Public Health degree from Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, which is one of the most prestigious universities in Bangladesh.
Dr. Haque's clinical experience includes working at various hospitals and medical institutions in China, where he has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of orthopedic conditions. He is skilled in performing various surgical procedures, including joint replacement surgery, fracture fixation, and arthroscopy, among others.
Apart from his clinical work, Dr. Haque is actively involved in research and academia. He has published several research articles in reputed medical journals, and he serves as an assistant editor for the Journal of Orthopedic Surgery (Elsevier), which is a highly respected medical journal in the field of orthopedics. Additionally, he is also an associate editor for Heliyon Public Health and a youth editor for The Innovation.
Dr. Haque is known for his expertise, professionalism, and commitment to providing high-quality medical care to his patients. He continues to work tirelessly to advance the field of orthopedics through his research, teaching, and clinical practice.
The IODA provides opportunities for me to engage in advocacy work, attend events, and participate in educational programs focused on promoting diversity and inclusion in the field. By joining the organization, I can contribute to efforts to address systemic inequities in orthopaedics and promote equitable opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or other factors.
Furthermore, by joining the IODA, I can build a network of contacts in the field and gain exposure to diverse perspectives, which can enhance my professional development and contribute to my career growth. The organization's focus on promoting diversity and inclusion also has the potential to improve patient outcomes, enhance innovation and creativity, and advance the field of orthopaedics as a whole.
In summary, there are many reasons why I might choose to join the INTERNATIONAL ORTHOPAEDIC DIVERSITY ALLIANCE, including my passion for promoting diversity and inclusion, my desire to connect with like-minded individuals, my need for support in the face of discrimination, and my desire to advance my career.
Firstly, it's important to recognize that promoting DEI requires a sustained effort and a commitment to change. It's not a one-time initiative or a box-ticking exercise but an ongoing process of learning, reflection, and action.
